The FPGA Videogame Console

Audio

Audio on the console is quite straight forward. It is a PCM1741 stereo 24 bit audio dac. The FPGA drives this chip and internally serializes the console's audio before sending it to the DAC. The DAC has an active lowpass filter on the output comprised of a quad op-amp and some resistors and capacitors.
