What Is It?

Super Mario Bros. 3. With a hacked title screen. Interestingly, this is the Japanese version of SMB3. They used 2 128K ROMs on this cart to make up the 256K of PRG ROM found on a normal SMB3 cart. The unmarked chip on the board is a typical 8K SRAM.

The Tech:

Pirate MMC3 (marked "88" on the picture), 128K worth of CHR ROM, 256K worth of PRG ROM, and 1 8K WRAM. I tested the MMC3 pirate, and it works absolutely identical to the real MMC3, down to the IRQ timer, and WRAM write disable bit.
